Waiting for Excitementby grgkopanasComment by glad2badad: I like the tonal range overall in this B&W image. The isolation of the subject works well also, however I'm not sure that your technique is within the advanced editing ruleset? Good luck either way. |

Follow the Light!by grgkopanasComment by Spooky11: Perhaps a not this way original photograph but nevertheless a succeeded approach of the topic. Especially the lichtgradaties going of gently to over-expose to make herewith the photograph. Exactly as if one will enter a world of space full slightly. |

Waiting for Excitementby grgkopanasComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: What a wonderful effect - I wouldn't be surprised if you get a validation request. I'm seeing this as a longer exposure Lensbaby shot though and it makes me want to try it! How effectively you've isolated your subject and the monochrome treatment suits the image well.
Critical stuff: The right side of her face (our right) has an indistinct boundary that I'm not sure works - artefact between zones of blur brush and sharpen brush?
Overall: A striking image and one I really like too. |
