The composition is almost intriguing, but the lack of overall contrast drags it down. There is nothing on the white end of the spectrum IMO. This leaves the overall photo flat. The flip side is there is not enough texture in your main subject, the foreground ties. I think this type of photo needs a few of CS3 B and W adjustment layers to get the most out of it. It's actually a fairly interesting shot IMO, it grew on me. I would have given this version a 5, as it's not a bad photograph, just needs a more practiced conversion. Keep working on it. I love BW, and I've been spending a lot of time on it the last few months.

Good luck Simba!! Mouse is rooting for you. I like the distance this shot shows as well. It's a great contrast between the PEZ and task ahead for Simba. 3 min 57 sec is a lofty goal though. I'm sure if any PEZ could do it, Simba can. I take it that Kermit thee Frog wasn't available. :)

Well, it's a little cheesy setup, but the colours are nice. I would choose a closer crop for an even green border to the subject.
