I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: An interesting shot - almost abstract in its composition, with the red barn acting like a block of colour. I like the stark white too - it gives a sense of complete coverage.

Critical stuff: The tree line - of course there's not a lot you could do with the composition but I wonder how selectively darkening the sky may have worked to de-emphasise the trees and allow the barn and snow to be placed into even more stark contrast.

Overall: A nice image; one that I'm pleased to have viewed.

This is a very simple subject but it's quite beautiful! The details are amazing and the background is a lovely shade of many greens.

The lighting's not real good and the color doesn't add much. Maybe a high contrast black and white would better bring out the textures and form.
