Time is moneyby sersalComment by chickadee: Nice lighting, good focus..... a big piece of white material might have been usefull in getting rid of the reflection. Nice photo.

Time is moneyby sersalComment by Adrian Tung: The glare/reflection on the glass is a major distraction in this shot. If you shoot this in a dark room with only some side lighting then I think you can eliminate the unwanted reflections.
A larger picture would be better to so that we can see more fine details. |

Hidden Cathedralby sersalComment by sersal: Esta es la catedral de mi ciudad, Valladolid. Las obras comenzaron en tiempos del rey Felipe II, pero nunca llegó a terminarse. Por no estar terminada y por no ser tan espectacular como las grandes catedrales góticas de las vecinas León y Burgos o las renacentistas de Salamanca, por no citar las de Zamora o Segovia, ha sido ignorada por generaciones enteras de vallisoletanos. En este sentido podemos decir que la catedral está oculta para muchos de mis convecinos, a pesar de su gran valor arquitectónico y artÃstico y a pesar de su tamaño y la altura de su torre, que puede verse desde cualquier zona de la ciudad y desde fuera de ella.
We can say that the Valladolid cathedral is a hidden cathedral because the vast majority of the inhabitants of Valladolid ignore it. This is becasuse the cathedral is not finished and because it is not as great, marvellous and spectacular as the Burgos, Salamanca, León, Segovia or Zamora ones are. The main facade is partially hidden by the old buildings that are in front of it. The Cathedral is hidden in two ways: It's hard to admire it and people prefer to ignore it.
This shot was taken in a partially cloudy, foggy morning. Light conditions were not the best and my ignorance did the rest. |
