The grainy effect works perfectly with the B&W shot. The good lighting gives the shot good contrast. Especially in the blade. It helps to show the sharpness of it. Love the red blood color on the end of the knife. Brings your eyes right toward it.

Love the menacing eyes and the whole expression on the face. Very nice shot.

I like this little tucked away building. The colors are fantastic, great use of space. The long range makes really boosts the feeling of solitude. The low lighting works well with the mood too. Focus looks good as well. Nice idea and execution. 8

Compositionally nice - good and effective use of leading lines, and tonally interesting. It isn't giving me an impression of loneliness, or even solitude somehow - possibly the simple awareness of the presence of a photographer :-)

would have loved to have seen this from a lower viewpoint, to get really close to the foreground leaves. Good as is though.
