2001: A Space Odysseyby ikopanasComment by Jaker: Very cool picture. Definitely made me do a double take, and I'll have to check back after voting to see if you explained the parts i haven't figured out. VERY creative! |

2001: A Space Odysseyby ikopanasComment by Tammer: Interesting photo. The earth looks a bit on the dark side and the seashell light is unique. Title fits the image. I'll be curious to read your setup on this image. |

Rest by the sea!by ikopanasComment by maynerd12: You nailed a tough exposure, intersting idea too, I like this - maybe it the tight crop or the foreground being in shadow - but somehting holding me back from loving this. |

Catch the Sunby ikopanasComment by BeeCee: I wonder if making the stone a little bigger would help any?
With simple editing it will go from beautiful to perfect :) |

Catch the Sunby ikopanasComment by Monique64: Well the most obvious thing is the tilt of the horizon. I'm not sure if the stone the person is throwing is a distraction or not. It annoys me but by taking it away you remove the evidence of what the person is doing. I would also get rid of the sunflare spot on the boy. Great shot though. |

Off the seaby ikopanasComment by ordinaryangel: This is nicely framed by the chain and the rope and the DOF you've chosen here seems to work quite well. The shot is quite busy though it plainly emphasises the subject (the 3 shells) so I think you've done well here in terms of the challenge criteria. I would like to see this taken from a slightly lower perspective, as you may have been able to capture more texuture and shape from the shells this way. |

...Life Storiesby ikopanasComment by ordinaryangel: The crop and colours here are pleasing. The natural lighting has allowed you a well exposed shot though I think you could add interest by emphasing shadows using dodge and burn if editing rules allowed (if considered for a challenge). Perhaps you could experiment with sharpening the eyes and the cigerrette/hand as these are areas that I think would benefit from a bit of sharpness. I think this might also look nice as a black and white image. |
