really nice location, has alot of potential, would like to see it with a bit more sunlight if possible...a bit dark IMO..if you would have gone to the end of the pier and gotten down, could you have gotten a better side view of the little white boat with the bridge in the background?

I've look at the alternate pp and they improve the technicals but the composition still has challenges for me. First, the leading curved line to the top of the hill is beautful. The way you composed it to bring the viewer from one corner of the image, all they way to the opposite edge and then back to the right/center is very nice. However, I find the power lines, poles and the sign really detract from the shot. I'm not saying that lines and poles are always distraction. For example if the lines were parallel to the road instead of bisecting the image it could have enhanced the sense of distance to the horizon but as is they seem to just cut the image in half

I love the tree and the sky, but I found it way too blurry. Also, I would have found it more interesting without losing the top and left of the tree. So little of it is out of the picture, it looks like it couldn't fit instead of a cropping choice. I think if the focus was sharp it would have been very nice.

It might be from processing to submit, but this seems alittle fuzzy. If it was nice and crisp I'd boost my score a couple points. I like the solitary nature and background.

the curved lines leading back - the clouds above - the stark landscape - these are great components. I would almost imagine a bit more in the way of brighting the path, increasing the impact of the clouds and separating the hills a bit more with some dodge/burn etc could really make this a knockout

It looks you were going for the sky with this photo, so think you should have shown more sky, and less land. Landscape photos are often more interesting if the horizon doesn't cut the scene in half. Remember the rule of thirds.
