Crisp and sharp which is a major plus. Lots of details, good angle which could have been a little higher, but it fine as it is. The author took time to do the best job in difficult lighting. Unfortunately, the rather drab and blank sky is a major issue taking away from the more than acceptable foreground details. This flaw kept it from being a top ten entry and a possible ribbon contender.

A technical success, it's less than successful in an artistic sense. DOF control is on the edge of being good and the lighting isn't over done creating blooms. The subject is less than interesting and the humor doesn't seem to quite make it interesting. A little more thought and better framing would have brought the rating higher.

The angle here is dull imho and doesn't give the photo much depth. I think it's a cool subject though, the way it's only on a little bit of track like that.
