Shocking and effective subject. Maybe a bit much shadows, or you could have focused on one group a bit more (on the black sphere or the others) to make the contrast a bit more fascinating with lights, too. In conclusion, a really touching shot, grats!

If i didn't read your titile to this photo, I would have considered it as a symbol of individualism from the black ball, and not of racism. This shows that the feeling we generate with our pictures is sometimes different from the feeling we would have wished to share. I generally avoid emotive title to my pics. Nice photo, anyway, though it looks too much compressed.

Nice point and nicely made - I'm not sure why you lit the far side of the marbles though - I don't care for looking at the dark side of them - perhaps that is part of the point?
