The point singularities in the child's eyes plus the blue cast to her naturally beautiful complexion makes this a less than expert capture and one that could use some more post processing. The central focus is a good idea and ties the whole image together properly, but the blue cast is a negative and something that could have been easily adjusted in post processing without much effort.

A good solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it is an intersting image but of less than universal appeal. A good entry into the challenge.

What are these people doing? Reading a book and text messaging when they have such gorgeous scenery? Must be locals. Now if they were smooching in this romantic location, that would have really made the scene! Of course, it would have been rude of you to ask them to do that for your pic. I'm not being realistic about that.

One nitpick. I think a little more sharpening would have helped this pop a bit more.
