Gull Above the Gunsby ImagineerComment by Mr_Pants: I guess that you were going for a low-key approach here, but I feel that the end result is a little flat. I think that the gull spoils the negative space in the upper right. I can just make out a blob next to the mast of the Belfast - is it a dirty sensor? |

~ The Last Breath ~by ImagineerComment by arpita: Oh this is where it's gone.. I looked at this photo in the challenge and was so sure it would ribbon and then I couldn't find it anymore.
This is just supercreative and amazing. What a crying shame it didn't get to ribbon in this challenge. Extremely awesome. |

Gull Above the Gunsby ImagineerComment by Mustardhead: Superb take on an old favourite location. Keeping in only one tower of the bridge in order to concentrate on the little pier would never have occurred to me. The gull is a bonus! |

~ The Last Breath ~by ImagineerComment by Imagineer: Thanks muchly for the comments.
The shot was relatively simple, apart from not being able to stay still. I focused on myself with light on, then switched to manual. Then I lay down in the same position, pressed release with remote cable while wafting a colour-changing LED torch to and fro, in and out of my mouth.
Very little post-processing other than a little dodge + burn, some levels adjustment and very slight noise reduction.
