I like the idea, I think I have one very similar from a couple of years ago that I didn't do nearly so well. Maybe the guy could be a little bigger in the frame. Cool lighting.

Composition: I am a bit distracted by the line running through the car on the left side. I do like your choice of placement of the kid in the frame though.

Lighting/Exposure: Light is nice. Sharpness is good as well.

Pose: I really like that he has a stand-offish pose. Fits.

Suggestions for Improvements: Let us see a bit more of that car, get rid of that line, and this is cherry :)

Teens are oftentimes difficult (unless they are girls! lol) to photograph without getting some sort of lip out of them. Even if it is just in pose ;) You captured a very teen moment here. Nicely done.

What I like about this photo is the floating effect of the subject. It makes it seem believable that he's just been seen outside the door, and bad things will follow.
