This one is MUCH better than the other version, even yo my untrained eye! lol The single biggest improvement for me is the removal of that yellow cast that was on the right side. Makes such a huge difference!

I've been reading all of the critiques on this series, and there is SOOOOO much that goes into taking a good portrait. Little details that I never noticed seem to make a big difference, and are so obvious when other people point them out. By the end of this month you're going to be a portrait master! Good luck on the new open challenge, by the way! :-)

Doesn't work for me - just way too much neck. Her turned up nose gives a sense of arrogence (and I'm sure she's not).

Wow - that's incredibly dramatic - well done.

Being picky - her neck is lost and the shadows there would be better lost - GRIN! And in this cas the solid black of her top means we lose definition of her breasts - it rides a little too high up.
