The Quiet Ptarmigan

Tongight on national photographic online, we examine that most feared bird of prey, the tarmigen Ptarmegen Ptarmagan... the bird in the picture.

Our staff photographer spent months stalking and seeking out this most rare of fowl. In this scene you can see the ptarmegehn bird preparing to strike out at its prey, a nest of recently hatched bokeh, which has been left unguarded by the adult bokeh while they are working overtime, posing for holiday photographs.

I never tire of waterfalls shot with a long exposure. A circular polarizer would help reduce the glare from the wet rocks.
