You managed to follow the rule of thirds while breaking it at the same time. I see one third line as the mountains and the 2nd as the transition between the blue and gold. Well done and this one definitely meets the challenge.

In my opinion, though... it does not meet the challenge topic description since insects are not included in the definition.

It's a really cool shot with the focus on the eyes where it should be. Could be a bit more DOF to get the back included too, IMO.

I can't get over my indifference to bug pictures, but the focus in this one is just off enough to make it more interesting than most in the genre. Plus it's a very nice, appealing bug. Thank you.
