Suzhouby TiberiusComment by SaraR: When I first viewed this on my work monitor (lunch break, honest) I decided not to vote, but to look again on my calibrated home monitor. I still find myself conflicted. What I love - the sense of mystery, of another world, and the way it could come from any era; I especially love the mysterious, possibly nefarious figure on the bridge - fascinating. What I am not so keen on - the large area of black that carries no detail the I can discern. Nonetheless, a 7 from me. |

dudes, tv's off!!!by TiberiusComment by glad2badad: Vogue, National Geographic ... cat in the window, next to a frame of Jesus. The list goes on and on. Very personal pic letting us in like this. Well played positioning and expressions of the "self's". :-) |

Outward Bound Schoolby TiberiusComment by roz: i was feeling on first view that you were pushing the definition of panorama in photography .
so i googled it ..
"Panoramic photography is a technique of photography, using specialized equipment or software, that captures images with horizontally elongated fields of view. It is sometimes known as wide format photography. The term has also been applied to a photograph that is cropped to a relatively wide aspect ratio, like the familiar letterbox format in wide-screen video."
this looked more like a 6x4 dimension to me which wouldnt be a panorama at all ... so i measured the sides of your image on computer monitor and came at an approx 12x7 dimension .. then using the rectangular marquee tool in photoshop put that dimension over an existing 6x4 photo i had up ..
surprisingly it took on a much more panoramic appearance .
how interesting that the eye can be fooled .. and the brain of course ..
anyway .. i felt i owed you the time i took to see if this indeed did satisfy the challenge .. and it did .. mainly because i really like the photo and wanted to give you a high vote ..
lucky for you .. !! .. ;)
loving the point of view btw .. and that gorgeous blue water ... also whats nice is the sun shining in the distance .. almost like an invitation .. |

Fantastic view of the ocean lanes below! I say lanes because this photo perfectly captures all the wakes of the boats as they travel around getting from one place to another. |
