This has a very antique feel to it. There is a bit of haze in the middle part and the contrast is not quite as good as it could be, but it is a very nice shot!

I really quite like this image - the deep tones, the bright highlights, the limited mid-tones all work well. The composition is great; the leading line implied by the cyclist, the repetition of circles in the wheels and pavement, all the lines and angles meeting and dispersing in the architecture. The man, man on bike, empty bike and mannequin set up wonderful vibrations, as does the unmet gaze of the cyclist - or rather, we meet his gaze, not the book buyer, at whom it was aimed.

The overall feeling of the work is great, it really feels right. Well doen indeed.
