Best Nut Everby GUTomekComment by SaraR: Cute, and you have done well to avoid the harsh light, focus is spot on, and exposure is good. Ultimately, though not enough to engage my interest for long. |

Mountain Goatsby GUTomekComment by snaffles: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Whether they're bighorn sheep or mountain goats, I know how difficult it is to shoot wildlife. So kudos on a very decent shot especially with the subjects coming towards you! Nice detail and I almost feel a little dizzy looking at the bg, so good capture on the vertigo aspect :-) Good colours esp on such a drab day, nice detail on the coats, beards etc. I'm not distracted by the pp, which is a sign of good pp in my book. My main nitpick is the crop. I can see that you wanted the bg in there for a sense of place, but Mom's heading out of frame to the left, so I'd have liked to see some more room for her to go into. The back on the mom is a little blown out, some burning could have brought back the texture to the coat.
Otherwise not much to complain about, and year-end FSs are exceptionally tough to do well in. Please keep shooting and entering!
Feel free to PM me,
Susan |

Mountain Goatsby GUTomekComment by CNovack: Of the Three Goats Gruff many have heard of the tales,
but the truth is far from the myth the littlest kid wails.
Our big brother took on the bridge troll so the story does go.
His horns lowered to charge and ram our foul foe.
They both did fall when that horrible ogre caught hold.
We spoke our plight but sad stories don't sell we were told.
With the two of us were tired, sad, starving and very cold,
we bitterly rewrote our memoir and in Hollywood it sold.
Nice capture of these two goats in their natural surroundings. They look so wild and free - I wonder how close they allowed you to get to them? The first time I viewed the photo I could not help but instantly think of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. My mind then started to wonder - what, then happened to the third goat? Thus the story just unfolded as I gazed upon your picture. |
