WOW!! OMG!! I've been looking at this for a couple of minutes studying the scene, enjoying the powerful juxtaposition, and then (being a little slow I know) it just hit me like ton of bricks that you desaturated everythingn but the gay couple, illustrating how black & white the anti-gay marriage viewpoint is. There may be some technical imperfections to nitpick, but nothing that takes away from the powerful impact of how you composed and processed this. I can't wait to share your shot with my family/friends when the voting is over.

It's a good effort to show such a stark subject. I would have zoomed in closer to the spoon, lighter and their hands, and cropped more off the top. The blue colouring is good.

I think that your picture will be voted down mainly because there's no areas that are in focus... (is that the right way to say it in english?)
