I guess it kind of conveys strength... The biggest problem for me is the small percentage of the image that's actually in focus - your title suggests more than one thing delivering strength, but the focus seems resolutely stuck on the one bolt (and admittedly a bit of the timber post). It might be improved by stepping back and incorporating more of the timber frame... Also by doing that the background might have appeared a little less harsh (the white ground is a bit distracting). The porch looks like a very nice place to be for cold drinks though...
