Comment by Ken:
Good family picture and I love the expression on the child's face. I would have probably shot from a slightly different angle - the cloud looks like it's coming from the adult's head, although it does fit in perfectly with the bending of his body.

I like this one very much, the use of negative space, the beautiful fog against the colorful luggage on the bikes. Works very vell. Great capture. 9.

nice idea, but the position of the sun really takes away from the image. some images, like a nice landscape or sunset, do not always need a strong subject. however, most images DO need a strong subject, where the essence of the image is conveyed instantly. here, your subject is competing with it's background. it's a nice idea, just poorly executed. i imagine this would make a fantastic photo, if you had been between the man and the sun, with the man's back to you. then, without using the flash, you would have had the sunlight in the boy's joyous face--and that would have been good for at least another point or two...

Comment by NovaTiger:
Pretty backdrop and nice framing. However, the harsh flash detracts from this shot and the sun call attention to the guy's waist and boxers/lanyard and distract from what you want the viewer to focus on. I think the was a great idea and has very good potential. I feel like it could have been a little better executed, though.

Placement of the sun with respect to the belly is a bit unfortunate. Like the shot, though!

I'm afraid the location of the sun draws attention to the wrong part of this image. A very tight crop might correct this. Great shot though.

To me, this is evocative of how lonely it can sometimes feel riding a bike. I might have cropped tighter on the bikes to give them a more prominent feel. You could do that and not lose the feeling from all the fog.
