Wonderful image of a beautiful bird. I have to agree that while the crop is tight, for me it serves to underline the fact that the bird is captive. I know exactly what you mean about captive animals; that's the reason I've only been to a zoo twice in the past 20 years...but at least it's not going to get smashed by a passing speeding car (I see too many crushed birds of prey in my neck of the woods).

That does look sad, with him tied like that. Your processing reinforces the captive theme - looks a bit like he's encased as well as bound. He is a beautiful bird.
