This is really an excellent macro. The colors are complementry and the focus is tack sharp. The light streaks are interesting as well. The f/22 didn't hurt either. I am surprised you haven't received more comments on this shot.

It was shot in a dark room so the flash duration of 30 microseconds captured the event. Additional details can be read on my website

It was shot with a pair of Canon 580Ex guns set on 1/64 of full power one positioned on the right and one behind the tomato to give some back lighting through the spray. 1/64 full power gives about a 1/30000 second flash duration. Triggering was via a Mumford Time Machine and ballistic sensor which calculates the velocity of the pellet so I know where it will be when the flash guns are fired :).
