I like how the people seem so small and insignificant compared to the approaching storm. Something a bit funky with the processing, though. I see a lot of blotchiness in the clouds and in the center portion of the water. (I do have a monitor that is a bit on the bright side and does show artifacting when others may not see it.)

Thanks. I think people used to the Zoo close-up shots of the animals do not appreciate how really fortunate I was to get this shot. Knowing how people vote on this site I really didn't expect much though... I do these challenges just for myself, I don't really care about the score too much. I appreciate the kind words and critiques though.
I too see the same people from here on other sites from time to time... :) I think I've seen you on dyxum.com. I don't think I'll be visiting that site too much now, since I don't have any Minolta/Sony stuff anymore... :)

Nice nature shot. I assume you have to be patient for things like this to come along. I like what you did with the title. Does it seem to be effective in holding back critiques of "the subject does not stand out from the busy background"? (That's what camouflage is for!!)

Hey, very nice Bobcat. In case someone confuses this with a Lynx, it's definitely a Bobcat. The tail is black above, but not below. If it was a Lynx, it would be a black tail end, including below. A Lynx would have more pronounced ear tufts, and longer, grayer fur without indistinct spotting. I love your narrow DOF and the natural setting on the edge of a harvested corn field. Great job! 10
