The lighting and colr gets muddy along the left bottom corner. the focus is a little soft. Gut wise, the shot doesn't really grab me, the pastas color is kind of unappealing to me

the dof looks like that of professional food product shots, but I think the lightign lets it down. it looks very dull and theres not much contrast at all. with a bit of extra light on this it could be a pretty good shot

two things that could really help your picture are: one, better lighting, and two a more interesting subject. the overall picture is a tad dark, but not so dark you can't tell what's going on. a little more lighting or a better lighting angle would bring out more detail in the pasta. as far as the subject, something with more color variation would be more eye catching and appealing to the viewer. there are some peas and corn in the shot, but really the corn is in the same general shade as the pasta and there aren't that many peas overall.

those are just some of the things i have learned over the couple of years on this site that have helped me take better pictures gradually over time.
