Composition - I'm not keen on this idea at all. I don't know why the picture is so dark and so small, and I don't care for the subject at all. It really lacks some visual appeal. I'm sure it tastes great, but unfortunately that doesn't appear to be adequately portrayed by this photograph. There isn't much for colors or anything to give it that little something it needs. Color would've been a good touch. I think the fact that its pasta salad is not helping it. The crap stuck to the noodles looks messy and does not make a noodle photogenic. Its also too dark for my tastes.

Technical - Not badly focused. I'm not sure how to frame this one to make it better. I think this would've definitely benefitted from going thru some major color adjustments to give it some sort of point of interest. I think you pretty much lost most of the voters confidence with very little color and being so dark.

Overall - I think a different subject would be the best way to improve this picture. It isn't really well taken and there isn't a unique camera angle or any other outstanding quality to set it apart from the rest of the field. Your score is pretty fair on this one, at least as I'm seeing it. It does nothing for visual or emotional appeal on the level that it needs to be. I'm not really sure what else to say now except good luck and take care - Bob
