My wife said I wasn't clear enough with my intentions for this photo...
I'm not really into sports, and was making an artistic comment on the vacuous nature of these guys posing by the beach playing volleyball. That's why I called them airheads in the title... there's nothing going on in their heads! By removing their heads and the ball, I was making a comment on how I saw them. Obviously this photo wasn't for everyone, but I still stand by it.

In my opinion, this photo has a number of quite serious flaws. I'm also not sure why the heads seem to whited out.

This is a striking and beautiful image. The birds aren't really the subject of the photo, but they do certainly add an element of interest, as do the almost invisibly small people on the beach.

I really can't comment on this because I think the image has errored in upload or something. If it's meant to look like their faces and the ball are made of a graduated tone, then I have to say that it's a gross error of judgement instead. On what I see (and I've screen-grabbed it just in case)- I have to vote this 1. Sorry.
