Good close up. I'm sorry you cut into your eyes though.

why "Woe", eloise, you look marvelous! the focus is a little "soft" on the lips, but you probably wanted it that way... 7

Nice idea, I would have preferred sharper focus.

She looks like she's in pain and the balding dude is distracting. Try focusing the attention on the subject.

A bit dark, but a fun view. The motion of the drummer's hand shows the action, where the rest is fairly solid. The guitar head coming across the subject is a bit unfortunate. 6 Rob the Swash

Even with your description, I'm confused. Is the blob an entire bed sheet? Or is this blob actually pretty small and made up of only the gel? If so, what in the heck is that string? This looks like some kind of freaky tampon.
I think I would have focused mainly on the blob. The background isn't appealing and does not add to the 'liquid' in any way. It's hard to tell even what this is, if it is liquid, and what is going on.
The focus seems a bit soft. Either that, or the texture is one that really looks off. I would have gotten right up close and focussed mainly on the reflections
The little red lights really aren't very noticable at this distance. You can't really tell what they are. Looks like dirt in the gel or something.
The color of the blob is nice, I like that there are bright blue spots and dark blue spots.
Overall not really much to look at that interests me. I do think it would have been much more effective if it were closer up.

The composition is so crowded, and the shot is also a bit dark and out of focus. This really detracts from its ability to appear on a cover of a magazine, as there is no pop to the picture and no place to put any text conveniently.

Underexposed and focus is too soft (possibly due to exposure?). Also, I find the guitar jutting out from the left into the woman's arm and chest to be distracting.

I actually tried something similar with a stop light this week, and I also encountered the same lens flares. Too bad we can't edit those things out, eh?

*grins* Art in the office indeed - very pretty. The photo has a nice weight/layout. (And I love the butterfly, totally apart from its role in the photo.)
