Where We Used to Live

You used to live next to a fence? Just kidding. I like your choice of black and white but have to wonder what it looked like in color. That bush back there looks like it could be beautiful. You leave me wondering about the rest of the house...

Below the pyramids is the Henry - these are the skylights to the underground portion of the gallery.

My camera is about as cheap as they come (it came free with my new computer), and thus has some limitations. There's no way for me to focus it - this thing is the digital equivalent of a disposable point and shoot. So I can't do anything fancy. No filtering or changing of apertures for me. Another limitation is that I have no means of seeing what I've taken until I plug the camera in to my computer and download the shot. It's certainly frustrating when you think you've taken a decent picture, only to get it home and find something went wrong! As far as colors go, what you're seeing is true to life. I haven't changed anything in this shot other than resizing it for submission.

That said, thanks for commenting. This was my first time submitting here (or anywhere, for that matter), and it was fun seeing the results.

Those pyramids look really interesting - I want to know what is under them. You could possibly have used a filter to remove some reflections but I'm not sure if the overall result would be better or worse. Nice composition.

Interesting architecture here... In my opinion, though, the shot could benefit from a bit crisper focus. Also, the purplish bit at the top (saturation bumped a bit too high?) is pretty distracting.

Comment by Wes:
Might have been better to include the whole pyramid in the shot. Seems a bit lacking without the peak. Also seems a bit soft, might just be the reflections on the glass.
