Looks like the DOF was just a little too shallow to make all of this shot focused. Nice color and the exposure on the top is good. I don't care for the differences in the background colors though.

Nice mood created through interesting light. The thick glass doesn't look all that fragile, though. Small matter--I like this photo. Good composition and tones.

Greetings from the Critic Club

Looking at your photograph Two things immediately jump to mind.

First, I love your choice of Black and white. The black background showcases it all the more.

Your focus is good and clear, with no soft spots.

The other thing, is to me this apears to be a childs head on an adult body. Maybe its just the angle you shot, or the shadows, or maybe this is exactly what it is and you meant for it to be this way. If this is the case then maybe a different title would have helped others to understand the look you were going for.

All in all an excellent attempt. Keep up the great work.

Nice unusual subject, got great colours on it. Nice positioning in the frame, I think the stem being out of focus looks quite nice, was it intentional?

I initially thought this photo was just another blurry shot. After sitting and pondering it a while, I realized it was the work of an experienced photographer that knew what they were doing.

How? The bluriness is all very controlled. It's not just random motion blur, but more like slow deliberate blur. It got a 7 from me. Good job! Keep posting what you like - 'cause I like it too!

Thanks for the comments. I knew this would not do well here, but I liked it. I only wish people would take it for granted that the photog knew what they were doing. I know people have the best intentions when they comment that it is blurry, but it was intentional. Thanks for listening.

Blurry and distorted enough that I can't figure out quite what you were trying to do with it.
