Bozo and His Jawbreaker Bellyby sk8t969Comment by waou85: great idea, great shot, but try to me more acurate when selecting color, i can see you have gone over at the righ and left side of the clown on the other pictures where it shows off the color, and it destracts from the main object. Plus I am not sure wether selective color is allowed in basic editing |

Bozo and His Jawbreaker Bellyby sk8t969Comment by MaryO: Interesting idea to highlight the kid art. The non-kid stuff is rather distracting; I would have cropped out the stuff on the shelf (or removed it before shooting) and moved the wires out of the shot. Selective desat does draw my eye to the clown but the picture is still very, very busy. |

Bozo and His Jawbreaker Bellyby sk8t969Comment by boyd2000: Nice selective desaturation. It's all just too busy for me. If you would have cleared off all the car supplies it would have helped a lot. And the dangling wires are not at all attractive. Actually I think if you had moved the wires a foot to the right and shown only the middle third of the picture it would be much better. |

Works every time......unfortunately.by sk8t969Comment by Crisik: It is probably not easy to find a good angle for a profane subject such as lighter and the top view may be a good choice, but then I would prefer less background there, or may be even more melting away background (but more likely a closer detail of the lighter head and different shade of the table).
Btw. I use lighters mostly on candles these days, and I am completely happy when they work :-) |
