Great scene really indicative of Weston's work. Lots of action with the smoke billowing out of the smokestacks. Overall I think the image is lacking in tonal range. You did well to limit the highlights, which I think is something Weston did often, but there is not enough shadow and dark tones... mostly mid range tones. Perhaps the contrast could have been bumped up a bit more to help out, or maybe like a red filter applied. Excellent work overall!

I love this shot. I had to go find analogous shots by Weston to properly look at it. I think you pulled it off. I'm not sure quite why, but this shot evokes the same kind of feeling I get looking at vaguely similar Weston shots. I wish I could quantify it better.

I enjoy the closeness of this shot. You can almost feel the wind from his wing beats. I love the details under the wings and how the wing blurs into the background at the top of the shot. It adds such a sense of motion. (not voting, just commenting)
