Pure Sunlightby MotekComment by Teafran: More an image of lighting than a creative use of lighting. It's hard to rate this because of it's nature. It might have been a better approach to find a subject and then use the lighting to create the image rather than of the light itself. |

Pure Sunlightby MotekComment by Mark-A: Oh such a shame it's so blown out on the right for me it spoils what would have been a great image. |

Pure Sunlightby MotekComment by RulerZigzag: Picture is 95% pleasing, but then...ouch. Sun is over-exposed- Close the aperture some more, perhaps change your center weighting or adjust the WB for your foreground. Or underexpose and use levels for the fore-ground. |

Pure Sunlightby MotekComment by rodfulk: I think it's a little bit too much flare from the sun and got a little bit of the highlight glare on the left side of your photo. |

aTACKedby MotekComment by tanguera: I like the subject and the intensity and texture of his face. But the crop (especially the left eye) bugs me, and I think the lighting might have worked better on the eye, instead of on the tacks in the front. |

aTACKedby MotekComment by Teafran: One of the problems when reviewing images in competitions is that every once in a while, an image pops up that is anethema to the reviewer. This reviewer wasn't all that impressed with this image the first time around, but to be truthful, it goes against the grain in a personal way. When viewed just for it's technical and artistsic merits, this is a great image with all aspects both technically and artistically well controlled. Having said that, this reviewer still wants to rate this as low as possible, but given that its technically an excellant example of staging a image and executing it perfectly, even though the image is repellant in ways one cannot express properly, this reviewer is rerating the image from it's original 6 to a 9. |
