Week 5by muz64Comment by tnun: This is a really difficult shot to get: here I find the detail vying with the powerful abstract shapes plus the leading lines that put depth, almost another dimension, into play. One thing that may be skewing it is the wide angle which puts the verticals in the forefront aslant, while the distant cameo sits purring smugly and righteously; I wonder if the viewer wouldn't prefer to be smug and righteous. |

Week 5by muz64Comment by Ecce_Signum: I dunno... I've been struggling for inspiration as well as the PP. How's this one?
20% insiration and 80% perspiration! I often get like that as well and have a total creative block. One thing you can try is to get a subject or location and shoot 50 or so shots of the same thing but from different angle/perspectives.
Mind you I dounbt an uninspired fotog would think of taking a shot like this so the mojo isn't all gone ;)

Week 5by muz64Comment by DJWoodward: I like the leading line of the railing through the image. I think more tonal range or contrast would make this a better shot. I agree with the little to left suggestion on the composition. I think I would have also liked to see the top of the arch. |

Week 5by muz64Comment by trevytrev: Cool shot, I like the lines that draw you through the image and the lighting is nice. I keep feeling that I would like to see the rest of the top of the arch, though it might not work compositionaly. |

Week 5by muz64Comment by pineapple: A small hint, a tiny peek. "A keyhole view" is what you remind me about with your photo. It is a useful way to compose a picture and I am learning from it. |

Week 4by muz64Comment by tnun: Heck, I love this the way it is. Maybe my screen is too bright, but these dark tones work for me, and contrast very nicely with the white cup and white shirt. (I'm not a histogram believer, but then I'm not a prize winning photographer either). And if stalking is what it takes to get an expression and moment like that, stalk away. |

Week 5by muz64Comment by colorcarnival: I like how you used the rail to lead the viewer thru the picture. I think I would like to see a little more contrast to kind of highlight the light shining thru the tunnel. I think that's my favorite part. |

Week 5by muz64Comment by Melethia: I like the counterbalance of the rail with the curved arch and it's shadow. I think the foreground is just a tad "heavy" - ie too much of the sidewalk. The mystery lies in the opening and what's beyond. |

Week 5by muz64Comment by Alicia: Nice sweeping line - great light coming from the other side of the tunnel - light at the end... The tones are good - not too contrasty. |
