I like how the warm autumn colors frame the black subjects. I think I'd like it a little more if I could see their faces and expressions... I'd feel a little more connected. Nice shot.

Some will consider this a bit of a copout - ie shooting people from behind - but their body language and the color of this shot, along with the railing and path to draw you in, makes for a very pleasing photograph. Light is gorgeous and handled well.

I really appreciate you sharing the story and your editing details, though I'll admit I'm not entirely sure (OK, completely not sure) I could re-create what you did. I have no idea what lab sharpen is, nor how you blended the different tifs together. You should make a tutorial!
