Fort Worth Stockyards. They run a vintage railroad between the stockyards and the nearby city of Grapevine. They have an antique steam engine, but it's been down for repairs more often than running the last few years, so they usually use a diesel to pull the antique passenger cards.

Interesting - I'll have to try this, too. Another way to get detail in too bright photos is to duplicate the layer and use "multiply" as the blend mode (in Photoshop) then scaling back the intensity of the duplicate layer to taste.
