Foster Parkby Yo_SpiffComment by Melethia: I think this came out pretty good, but as you note may be lacking a bit in the crispness and clarity that the ribbon winners get. In part that could be the wide aperture - something at f/11 for instance might be crisper, though you'd have to jack up the ISO a bit to get there unless it's dead calm and you have a tripod. You're definitely on the right track with the perspective - what may have hurt this a bit is the centeredness of the approach. In essence, the composition is pulling is toward the eye of the culvert, which may not be the most attractive part of the composition. Still, this did quite well, is a good shot, and is something you've not only learned from but will undoubtedly improve upon in the future. |

Red Racerby Yo_SpiffComment by Yo_Spiff: Thanks. I seem to do some of my better shots when I am not trying to get something that fits a challenge! |

Red Racerby Yo_SpiffComment by Alicia: I don't think this is overprocessed, it's just processed in this way. Love it - very fitting the subject. I could see this in big in a cool white frame in a hip coffee house. |
