How far is the glass from the object you want refracted. Are those drops h2o only or is it 50-50 glycerin and h2o? Which liquid works better? Sorry for blasting you with these questions. You're just experimenting... i forgot. :|

Great detail in the wood an the worn parts as well. I like the focus on the spiral it draws the eye into the image. Great POV.

Good choice to keep the entire scroll in the frame. I think the full shape is more important than anything you would have gained in texture or detail from a closer shot. The white background works well here... anything else would have detracted I think. Nicely done!
