I'm not sure that I see it as a "fantasy" flower scape. On my laptop, which tends to be a bit on the brighter rather than darker side, I see marigolds that seem to be overexposed, shot in bright sun. In other words, it's still very recognizable as what it is as opposed to being an abstract. Perhaps to make it more of a fantasy type thing, change the colors to something not usually seen in marigolds - like silver and bronze and purple or some such. (Though I have no idea how you get silver and bronze...)

I really love this shot! I don't know why you say it isn't a great shot, because I think it is wonderful! I love the "watercolor" like sky and the dark rocks anchoring the composition. It definately screams power! That one spike of water shooting up is awesome! Great job and I look forward to more powerful water shots from you.

Nice capture on the light spectrum, ( and here is the nasty �but� section) I would have enjoyed to see how it interacted with the rest of the picture, like boosting the saturation of the red flowers to the right, and maybe a bit on the greens to make it all pop. IMHO.
