11 Tina v2.jpgby ErikVComment by SEG: I agree with Pikkel. For me I think the stance just seems a little awkward. Message edited by author 2010-01-19 21:45:50. |

18 Marriette & Wes.jpgby ErikVComment by vawendy: ok, my husband is looking over my shoulder as I view this one. We both agree that she is good and we both like the red very much. There's something not right with his legs. My husband says that they both disappear in a black blob. I just don't like them cut off at the knee. Perhaps if the one leg was bent more to get more definition, or if they were bent back behind. Something just feels very awkward with him, the pose and the crop. She is great, though. I agree, though, there doesn't seem to be anything between the two. She actually looks like she could be a little upset, but he's just oblivious. Oh wait, I guess it is realistic! :P |

18 Marriette & Wes.jpgby ErikVComment by caseyface: I like his pose a lot, but her pose seems too stiff. As others have said, there's something missing here. Any outtakes from this session that you can share with us? Her left leg (although we do see her shoe a bit) really looks like it's missing and it distracts me. Looking a bit closer, it seems as if they are on some sort of platform. I think it might work better if they were in the leaves and dirt, not the man-made platform. What story do you have in your mind for them? |

18 Marriette & Wes.jpgby ErikVComment by bassbone: sharp as a tack on the models but there is something missing - the connectivity of the two seems completely missing as if the two were each in a different shot and you stuck them together post processing. |

18 Marriette & Wes.jpgby ErikVComment by Lutchenko: Originally posted by Jedusi: Nice clarity and detail Eric - but I feel no engagement with the characters at all - it's almost like two very nice manequins abandoned in the woods . . if they had either been looking at each other or the camera , or even one of them looking at the camera this would have been better for me, but they don't seem connected to each other or to the viewer.
p.s. and neither of them look cheerful enough for Lutchenko's suggestion :- ) |
depends how it went ;) |

18 Marriette & Wes.jpgby ErikVComment by Lutchenko: I like your setting and execution here. I guess my only observation is that it has a real catalogue feel to it, that's good by the way from a commercial standpoint.
The more I look at the pose the more I want to change it to suggest that they just popped into the woods for a quickie and when they came back the car had been stolen lol, the chap with head in hands and the girl with her hands in the air type thing. Must just be my weird sense of humor :)
