02 - Bridge and Birdsby ErikVComment by Veiolets: I agree about the gulls making the shot. I really like the balance between the fine detail in the bridge and the birds. LG |

01 - Tree at Water's Edgeby ErikVComment by tnun: Stunning. Everything working very nicely together. (Did you give a bit of blur to the water - looks like an abrupt transition from the nearer water, though the water horizon is most effective?). |

02 - Bridge and Birdsby ErikVComment by tnun: Erik, this is wonderful! Very much the cup of tea I would like to brew for myself. Amazing how much texture you've got with such strong contrasts and how well the latter do justice to all the elements. T |

02 - Bridge and Birdsby ErikVComment by Ecce_Signum: Yup, without the birds this would look pretty average imho. As it is I like it, good composition, nice reflections on the water and a nice silhouette. |

02 - Bridge and Birdsby ErikVComment by bassbone: the old time train bridge really provides a great frame for the birds...hey...i think you have satisfied like two or three challenges in this single shot...
you get the prize for most shots on goal with a single shot |

02 - Bridge and Birdsby ErikVComment by benee: Cool image - I like how you've silhouetted the architectural elements against the sky - makes it more ominous! |

01 - Tree at Water's Edgeby ErikVComment by bassbone: cold, wind, snow, gray and black and white - a simple metaphor for winter
the placement of the subject, the line of the rocks leading to it, and the sun to illuminate from behind create multiple layers for us to grab - well done |
