Writings from the Pastby BarbBComment by pineapple: Nice selection of memories. Composing a still life is an art. You have the items needed but the composition and lighting needs some help. You could, for instance, remove the "straight down" photo angle and create some more visual interest by looking at the scene from the side. Or bring the edge of the desk into view or perhaps cover the table with an old cloth. Did he use a dip pen for the flight log? Perhaps a fountain pen. Not sure. Worth reshooting. The modern day photo up top is a bit jarring to me. It "commonplaces" the historical nature of the other material. |
