Inspired by 'the Man Who Wasn't There'? The boy's expression is what makes this picture for me. There is too much going on in the picture though for the composition to really hang together. Too much clutter... perhaps by stepping left you could have cut out a lot of the sistracting elements, and have had the chairs lined up. The eye just doesn't know where to focus. Great character shot though. Perhaps a little more sharpness could have helped as well. 6

IMHO, there's a very nice picture here but it's lost. I'd focus on the pair in the foreground - the boy and his barber - the expression on the lad's face is great. The rest of the shot is a distraction. I'd like to see a crop with just these two.

When I first saw this earlier in the week, I could not figure out what they were doing and then I saw the tshirt that said "Fireworks" This is a nice shot of something that you don't see every day (or at least I don't!) The shadow in the foreground takes away from your shot.

this really says "country life" to me more than any other photo for the challenge. The picture itself is very good but nothing too amazing. It's a bit dull and could use some help in terms of composition, as it seems weighted to the right, and the light is a little bit harsh. Still, I'm going to give this a high score for being the best representation of the challenge ideals. Nice work.
