I like this shot, but feel the border is a little extraneous. The connection to the challenge also seems quite a bit forced. Not sure that any musician really hits the "hero" mark in my book.

I like the effect here in the leaves. The tree trunks, however, show up as light blue and you can't help but think--needs to be leveled.

Actually, if you crop the left side, eliminating all traces of the white sky, it get's bumped up a couple notches, and for some reason, the light blue trees don't bother me, and it becomes painterly.

Love to see more of your experiments in the thread.

oof, the title is going to hurt you. It's a bass, rather than a guitar (technically a "bass guitar", but people don't really call it that). Otherwise, a pretty solid photo, very impressionistic, like another current challenge. I might have cropped a little tighter on the right, to let the line of the bass neck run corner-to-corner

Great point of view, much better than the boring profile shot I took when in Scotland last year! Maybe it's cropped a little close to the feet at the front.
