Thank you everyone for your very helpful comments. This is great for my learning curve. I figured the washed out sky would bring down the numbers on this one, but the rest of the photo turned out so great, I thought I'd give it a try. I played a little bit with the adjustments to try and bring a little color to the sky, but it made the rest of the photo look worse, so I left it alone.

Thank you again, I look forward to learning a lot from everyone here!

Great shot! The focus and clarity is great..the sparks add drama..the lighting is perfect also..dark enough to add contrast and allow the sparks to show up well.. but light enough to show detail...I like it! :)

Very pretty scene, but I think it would have looked even nicer with a polarizer filter. The reflections on the water wouldn't be there, and the sky would be more blue rather than being so blown out. Still, it is a nice pic.
