The Cut -- Where the Rain Never Endsby karmatComment by Gracious: Critique Club COmments by Grayce
Karma,
This is a lovely image, and black and white suits it well. For many years I lived in the mountains, and I remember how slippery the mountain roads could be, and treacherous with limited visibility. This provokes recollections of the feelings I had, when I had to drive in it.
I wouldn't have thought of it for despair, but ya know what? It works!
The composition works well with the roadway being on a diagonal and leading into the distance. The trees lining the road support that.
Focus is fine for the type of picture....fog, rain, mist. None of it is crystal clear.
OVerall I like this. Very moody. Good job!
Regards,
Grayce |

Humpty Dumpty Investigation Continues -- Details at 11by karmatComment by Sonifo: hmmm...this must have taken a while to set up. ??
Very nice setup. The flowers are great and the looks on the faces are hilarious. I do see that you used neat image, I think. I can see some artifacts out lining the standing eggs. Good luck and I hope you find the diry culprit. :-) |

Into the Mistby karmatComment by LindaLee: I've looked at this shot at least half a dozen times now, and it still has the same impact. The black and white is enormously effective, in conjunction with the slightly foggy atmosphere, in creating a very mysterious feel. Fits the challenge very well. |

Into the Mistby karmatComment by ChrisW123: This going to seem critical but... if you could have gotten a little higher so that the bottom part of the bridge was below the bottom-right corner, and possible showing a little more of the bridge out in the distance this would be awesome! But still very good. 8. |
