Slammin'by karmatComment by scalvert: Good idea, but wouldn't the flames be trailing an [upward] moving ball? Just turn the ball upside down before shooting and rotate the image 180 degrees to get the effect. A low-speed fan on the flames would really give the impression of a meteor. |

Slammin'by karmatComment by seansiler: I just wish it had some blur to convey motion. As is, it doesn't really jump at out me. |

Slammin'by karmatComment by adine: Novel idea, well executed. I think this photo really stands out in this challenge. I like the flames, but little details like the texture on the line between shadow and light really make it good. blue background is a nic contrast with the orange flames. 10 |

Slammin'by karmatComment by Artifacts: Interesting concept and perfect composition. Reminds me of a Randy Johnson fast ball! Just a little grain reduction and cloning out a couple of white spots and this image would be perfect. |

Slammin'by karmatComment by soccerdad: There is some imperfection visible on the back of the ball, but, not bad. This is my favorite of the competition. I hope you win.
