Definitely got great textures here and works very well as b/w. I agree with slaakso that a greater dof would have increased the amount of the in focus textures....

I agree the contrast in tone and texture really makes this an interesting shot! You should consider a texture overlay for the background although the b/w conversion did does look nice....
