Alternative Sunriseby karmatComment by AJSullivan: I wish the flower had been a little more symetrical, as I get what you were going for, but the shape of the flower just doesn't get it done. |

Alternative Sunriseby karmatComment by ericwoo: Awesome tonal range with such a small, minimalistic presentation. That second petal on the left is a bit blown, this providing a small distraction and trap for my wandering eye. I like the composition, but that spot near the top on the right is driving me nuts. I keep trying to clean my monitor. Even still, nice capture and a strong presentation. 7. |

6 stormby karmatComment by glad2badad: Nice color pop! That's the first thing that comes to mind. Love the blue tones of the bg mountains against the foreground trees. Clarify is a wonderful tool, isn't it? I might have hit this with a light shot of Salt & Pepper (set to 1,1) to clean up the near foreground trees just a bit. |

It's funny how you can tell when a photographer has a camera in hand when looking at the results. Even with a cell phone and a potentially snapshottish subject, you've added some drama to this with the angle and POV. The poking out pen, notepad, and hint of table & chair add everyday context and tension. |
