The Gazeby JaimeVinasComment by Denise: interesting framing, it works well here, the only thing that bothers me a little about this image is her stare, it's not like she's looking at something but rather disengaged, if you know what I mean, hmm wish I could give you a better explanation, still a good image - 7 |

The Gazeby JaimeVinasComment by manavg: This is quite artistic. Though the glass on the right gives me too much glare (perhaps my PC). 6 |

The Gazeby JaimeVinasComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I like the way this says human and mannequin in (almost) equal measure, so fixed is her gaze. I like the overall composition too - I'm sure you'll get comments about excess negative space but I think it remains balanced. The touches of pink work well - offering a suggestion of softness against the hardness elsewhere.
Critical stuff: This is a very clean and crisp edit - I'd have grunged it up with some grain, a vignette and darker or even monochrome colour treatment. Having said that, there is much originality here and I respect that you have stuck to your guns.
Overall: Interesting image - not one I'm rushing to fav, but I like it nonetheless. |
